Running - best way to stop chafing?

DS (16) suffers from chafing and I'm looking for the best way to help him. Does a lot of running etc. Are their creams that help?

Chaffing, where?

MagpiePi · 29/12/2023 14:21

Where is the chafing happening?

If it’s on his inner thighs, then he could try wearing Lycra shorts or leggings, or get some lightweight running shorts.

Try the brand runderwear or body glide cream

Tbh well fitting clothes should solve it.

I also run and suffer that very issue. Lycra undershorts is the answer!

Lanacane anti-chafing gel is really good.

Sex lube. It's silicon based (anything water based will eventually rub away from sweat) and it's cheap. Or vaseline if he can't get over the embarrassment

I've used body glide, all sorts in the past and they're no better and more expensive.

@BishopLenBrennan can you send a link, please?

Chafing is on inner thighs. He needs to wear a uniform so is restricted on the style of shorts he can wear.

Also, what is the best cream to help soothe it if it gets inflamed?

@herewegoagainonmydog I'll check that suggestion out now thx

@SausageAndEggSandwich sex lube! I’ll try that. Looks like I’ll have to accidentally wander into a sex shop … again!
