Is this exercise beneficial?

I'm not sure the title is right, but this is the context to my question - I'm new to exercising, I'm doing it purely for heart health. I'm easing myself in. When i go on the bike or cross trainer i both sweat and get breathless - not badly, i could still just about hold a conversation. When I'm on the treadmill however, I walk a fast pace at 6km an hr, i sweat but I'm not breathless - heart rate is up but less than when on the other two. Is this still beneficial? I don't want to run, I'm sure it would make me breathless but i hate the thought of it.

It's definitely beneficial. It would be good if you do some intervals so maybe up your speed to run for 1-2 minutes at a time as that will improve your endurance. But any exercise is better than none!

Can you add an incline? It would have more point if it made you a bit breathless.

as opposed to what?

Sitting on your ass doing squat all? hell yes it’s more beneficial than that!

Its a decent enough ice but one to build up fairly swiftly i’d say

Aha, I'll increase the incline, thanks @Cheeesus !

Obviously the more energetic the exercise, the better it is. However everything you do is a contribution and is better than nothing.

The incline increase got the job done, thanks everyone!

Any exercise is good! Even walking.
