Cellulite making me sad

Hi all,

Cellulite has always been my biggest insecurity especially on my legs.

Can anyone tell me what exercise is best to reduce cellulite and if there are any products that have really helped?

Thanks :)

I could have written this post. I hate my thighs because of all the cellulite. I'm getting a bit obsessed with how bad they look and my DH assures me they look fine. I've been walking daily and jogging 3 times a week. Have lost 2st and 4.5 lbs which has helped. Been doing squats and lunges daily to try to build muscle and been using this body oil.

And dry body brushing. I think it's helped but honestly I have such bad insecurities over it even when I've got to my target weight I probably won't want to wear short shorts or skirts so I completely feel you OP

Some degree of cellulite is completely normal, as long as you have high oestrogen levels you will have it (unless you drop your body fat into single digits - but then your oestrogen levels will drop as well). If you already are fairly active and have healthy(ish) eating habits then indeed dry massages/cellulite oils and creams/procedures such as endermologie could help improve the look by shifting unevenly retained fluids in the tissues and boost up collagen production to firm up the skin. Or you could apply some spray tan and call it a day - I find that "tanned" skin always looks smoother and does not reflect the light as dramatically to highlight all the dimples as my natural shade of a frozen dead chicken thigh...

We all have it.

Don't stress.

Honestly it is all diet. I got rid of all my cellulite through cutting out all upf and most sugar.

I've cut out a lot of sugar and started drinking 3l of water a day and it does look a bit better

Walking (well hiking) for many miles has shifted most of mine. Hurrah for the Carneddau.

We do all have it and it has good and bad days! Not much to add but the usual - water, cut out sugar, moderate fat intake, walking and lifting heavy. Mine has improved a lot.

Freshair1 · 24/10/2023 19:03

Cellulite is normal.

Gosh I could have written this thread - I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I suddenly have loads of it. 😕

How perfect is your zero-UPF almost zero-sugar diet?

Part of me wants to try it, only to prove it makes zero difference to my cellulite :-)

It is worth trying becuase after the 1st couple of weeks you loose all cravings for it and it is really easy to maintain. There is no need to count calories and you automatically regulate what you eat.

I lost lots of fat doing this and all the cellulite disappeared. I only eat upf when I eat out in a restaurant (maybe 1 x fortnight) and a bit in some cooking ingredients e.g stock cubes.

Sugar wise I might have a couple of home made biscuits a week and eat dark chocolate daily. I don't limit sugar in whole food e.g fruit etc.

Well I have just tried some shorts on I last tried in the summer and my cellulite hasn't gone but the shorts looked way better on me. In the sense that it's looking better but not completely gone and I used to think that would never happen!

What's UPF?
