My Garmin insists I’m stressed pretty much all the time, even when I’m asleep.
Anyone else?

My Garmin says I'm stressed through the night when I have been drinking! Its a little scary how it seems to know! Could that explain it?

Bruisername · 12/10/2023 17:23

Yes! I just ignore it now.

it also reads my heart rate incorrectly quite a lot

My garmin is a gaslighting bastard 🤣🤣

NotFastButFurious · 12/10/2023 18:09

Mine thinks I’m asleep when I’m awake if I watch tv in bed so goodness knows what that says about me 🤣 I can also go to the loo in the night and when I get up in the morning it’s still on zero steps.

What's your VO2 max?
DH got a Garmin when he started exercising more seriously and he shows stress far more than me. His VO2 max is in the fair zone.
I got mine after years of exercise and the demise of my second Polar so was already in excellent.

It knows I've got a cold though. Stress is way up and VO2 max is down.

It knows when I've had a cider, but DH comes off far worse though and it does co-incide with nights that he's snored.

@BogRollBOGOF VO2 max is excellent, I do get a good amount of exercise.
I only drink at weekends and it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

The only time mine has said I’m stressed is when I’m visiting my parents. Hmmmm

Yes, I've been surprised to see just what an effect on sleep a few drinks has!

Stress isn't necessarily just mental. I've found I get high stress levels when I'm gardening, when I feel perfectly peaceful (in fact it find it a positive good mentally) but there's physical stress as I'm not logging it as exercise and not moving about much, but having my arms above head whilst I'm wrestling with something and changes my bodily readings
