Anyone want to join me?

I see a lot of people on the old thread have completed their journey and wondered if anyone fancied joining me on starting a C25k for autumn 🍂 🍁 🏃🏼‍♀️

I’ll join you! I’ve taken the plunge and joined a local running club who are starting this tonight. I’ve tried on my own but it’s tricky. I’ll let you know how I get on 🙂

I'll join.
I've done the c25k a couple of times but have always fallen off the wagon.

I did w1r1 yesterday and r2 will be tomorrow.

I do mine on a treadmill until I gain the confidence and stamina to get out on the road.

I did the C25K about 4 years ago for my wedding and then didn’t keep it up. It really shifted my belly fat and I got a lot fitter generally. I regret not sticking with it last time.

I recall I hated listening to music when I ran as most songs are five minutes and I disliked being able to keep track of how much time was left in the run. So if anyone has any podcast or audible recommendations that will distract from the actual running I would be grateful!

I'm in too OP - did C25K a few months ago, was up to running 5K in one go, thought I'd keep it up over the summer holidays - didn't Blush

Planning to start next week though as it is just TOO BLOODY HOT for me at the moment!

First run done. I’ve tried a number of times to do couch25k but never keep it up. It’s so much easier with other people. Homework is to do it another 2 times before next week. Good luck to those starting 🙂

I did week 1 run 2 today.

Tried it before with a friend but they aren't available so having a crack at going it alone. Hopefully I won't find motivation to much of an issue

I'm on week 5! I've got the scary 20 run next. I haven't been finding it hard in terms of cardio or getting too out of breath, but my legs ache while I'm running. I'm meant to go for a run tonight but it's so warm and I've had an incredibly full on day at work. I run outside so no air con!

W1 R2 done, this time on my own. I’m really unfit but I think this one was slightly easier. Next run on Monday!

I started 3 weeks ago but have had to stop as my knee is playing up
:( I tried to run through it tues but just did a weird shufflley run 😂.

When do you all prefer to run?
I like the mornings. Although it’s a killer getting out of bed, especially when I need to travel in to the office it does set me up for the day.

I use the NHS / BBC app.
I've chosen Denise Lewis as my coach. You can play your own music through Spotify etc and it dips away when they're speaking.

I've just recently started C25k. I used to run 5k distances but haven't in many years now and want to get my fitness levels back up. I started on week 2 which I think suited me better and just did the first run of week three yesterday - poorly planned as the last longer run was up a steep hill in the heat!

Planning to join a running club that is coordinating one this week so may need to accept starting back at week one again just for the benefits of group motivation.

It’s hugely hot and far more difficult to run in this weather. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Cooler temps next week will honestly make a huge difference.

I’ve signed up for a group course too starting in a week. I’m halfway through c25k on my own but keep getting stuck /stopping to walk so hoping the group will push me through to graduation this time.

I started today but may have to do some weeks twice I think. It was a killer. I walk for miles but running is a different beast entirely. It may kill me.
