I don’t do any at the moment and want to start. I can’t afford / commit to the gym so would have to be at home.
is 20 minutes or so enough x3 a week ? Any particular videos ?
I find it so incredibly boring compared to running 😂 but know I need to start to improve long term

I do go to the gym but these you could do at home: squats, Romanian deadlifts, walking squats, hip thrusts - all weighted. Using gym equipment, I do leg extensions and presses, adductors and abductors. All of these have improved my stamina and speed when running and repaired a knee injury I’ve had for a while.
I think 3 x 20 minutes a week could make a difference. I do 2 x 45 minute sessions plus upper body weights in other days and a bit of swimming.

James Dunne has “strength training for runners” videos on youtube that seem quite good

Do you have weights at home or are you looking for bodyweight exercises?

If you have dumbbells the Iron series by Caroline Girvan is great, and I also do some Joe Wicks dumbbell workouts too. All free on YouTube.

My running has really improved since I started weight training.

I'm less of a runner now, I actually only run to keep my cardio fitness whereas running used to be my main exercise. But I do two weekly strength training classes (heavy weights) then a couple of moderate weight training sessions such as Caroline Girvan Iron
