30 mins exercise everyday?

Hey guys! I had a baby 8 months ago and I’ve started going to the gym for only 30-40 mins every evening where I workout and get my heart rate up. I’m planning to go for 30 days at least (although baby is really clingy and doesn’t want to be away from me for even a second). Do you think this can help me to lose weight? I want to lose about 3kg.

Looking at your eating will make more difference than the gym work although it will be good for your fitness and toning and your general wellbeing

I do 45min to 1 hour every day, intense HIIT, weights or whatever I feel like doing . I finish sweaty and with a faster breathing.
The second I stop exercising because I am travelling or overseas, I lose weight. I am back at home, and back at the gym, I put on a few kilos, which I don't mind because I am extremely lean.

I exercise for health, mind and vanity as it shapes my body.

Correct your eating. Remove the junk from your home and go crazy with vegetables.

I also had a baby 8 months ago. About 6 weeks ago I started going to the gym a few times a week, working through some cardio and weight training exercises. I've only lost 7lbs but my body composition has already shifted quite drastically and I look leaner. I still have quite a way to go body weight wise to get to my pre pregnancy weight but I'm breast feeding so trying not to focus too much on the scales.

In addition to weight training, I walk a lot and have cut out any ultra processed foods and cakes which were the main culprit in my weight gain. Also drink lots of water - this will help flush any extra water weight you're holding onto.

The key is to keep active and to make sure you're eating right, 3kgs isn't much so definitely doable!

@Cormoran I'm the same! Part of the reason I exercise is to keep my weight up because it gives me a better appetite. OP exercise is great for many things and I'd never discourage someone from starting, but it's not the answer to weight loss. That's your diet.

you need to burn around 3500 calories to burn a lb of fat. In 30-40 minutes you're probably only burning around 350 calories depending on what exercise you're doing and what height / weight you are and how intense you're working out. So no, it's not going to shift 3kg (6.6lb) unless you also eat less. BUT if you lift some decent weights you will build lean muscle and you may appear smaller but weigh the same, or even more.
