New to running lower back pain

Hi
I keep getting a low back pain after running. If I am still or sitting it's hard to stand up (I stay chair shaped for a while) but when I am moving round it's OK. Does this sound just like I need a stronger core? I think it might just be muscular. I am warming up and stretching after (runners world post run stretches)

I’ve had a niggly lower back since pregnancy and mine gets worse with running if I let my hamstrings get tight - I also do Pilates roll downs to work on spine flexibility.
Worth trying to see a physio if you can though

Core work is essential alongside running
So adding that into your routine should help a lot

Thanks @Chocolateteabag im going to get a lovely massage this morning. I'm definitely going to include core work. (sit ups?)

I hate sit ups
Planks and leg raises

But I'm no PT - my running club do core sessions and I try to copy what they do at home

Yes, it sounds to me like you need core strengthening, which will protect your back all the time whether running or not.
