Sun cream and Exercise

Ok it is hot out . I am slathering myself in suncream before I run early morning but I am a sweaty runner, so not convinced it isn’t sweated off after 10 minutes .
I have just started using retinol on my face so suncream is a must.
Anyone know of any good makes specifically designed for exercise outside, they can recommend

A good water sports one might help? There's quite a few in boots that are tagged "sports" which might be good - there's a neutrogena one in a grey bottle I use which is good!

I've just bought one from a brand called life jacket - can't comment if it's any good but it's a stick specifically made for the face and it's waterproof so I'm hoping for good things.

I've been wearing a baseball cap for an additional layer of protection, but still wear sunscreen as well. It's an Ambre Solaire serum for face in factor 50 that sinks right into my skin and doesn't feel like you're wearing it at all. Not sure if that means it sweats off or not, but the cap means that less sweat runs down my face (attractive!😁).

Ultrasun Sport?

P20 is the nuts. DH does 70 miles on his bike in hot weather and never burns. It can stain your clothes though!

Puravida23 · 13/06/2023 11:47

some great suggestions , thanks everyone . I will get googling.
A baseball hat is also a good idea but am just a bit scared that it will make me even more sweaty wearing it I will try it tomorrow and see how I get on

As @JorisBonson says, p20 is absolutely the nuts. It may smell awful, but you won't get anything else that will stay on your skin no matter what you do. Put on clean skin and allowed to dry fully, you could swim, bike and run a full Ironman and it still would be protecting you

I have a kids chunky stick (boots soltan I think) like a giant lip balm
Slather it on mid run when I feel I need it

My visor also doubles up as a sweat soaker

BogRollBOGOF · 13/06/2023 23:49

P20.

I put it on prior to getting dressed so it's dry before putting clothes on.

I don't put it on my forehead, but use a cap to protect it from direct light.

Puravida23 · 13/06/2023 23:53

Ok P20 seems to get the vote. Thanks
I will pop out tomorrow and get some. Putting on before you dress sounds like the go too.

Another vote for Ryman P20! It's expensive but bloody brilliant. I'm a sweaty cyclist. Use it for all day rides and used it cycle touring in the south of France, in summer. No burning. No need to reapply. I do not apply it above my eyes (forehead, or around my eyes) though. It stings if it runs into my eyes. Instead I have my forehead covered with a cap / helmet and eye area with Oakley's.
