I have various aches and pains and I really need to start building strength. I also need tone up all over as I have wobbly arms, legs, bum etc and just feel a bit bleugh. Probably perimenopausal. Looking for a routine I can do at home in a small room with minimal equipment. I can’t jump around due to dodgy knee and also neighbours. I have a herniated disc so no heavy weights. I have space for a mat and I already have some small hand weights. I have done two days of the Tracy Anderson Mat routine which seems ideal for sorting out my arms. But it’s quite hard to follow and the exercises are quite weird. I think I’m going to challenge myself to stick with it as the exercises although weird seem so different to what I’ve done before (30 day shred!).
I know she’s controversial and not interested in her thoughts about diet, running and weights etc. Just looking at the actual exercises she does. I’ve seen a lot of people say online that it’s very effective once you work out how to do the exercises and isn’t hard on your body in the way that HIIT is. Has anyone here had any results with this or is there anything else out there similar that gives the same at-home effect? I walk everywhere so not looking at cardio stuff at the moment.
