i would really like to try Pilates alongside my couch to 5k (I’m on week 3) and I’ve tried some videos for beginners on YouTube but I’ve had trouble looking at the screen and following what they’re doing 🙄 stupid I know! Some have been really hard too idk.
can anyone recommend an app (free please we’re on a tight budget here) or videos or blogger that could help get me into it?
Also interested in positive experiences who have started Pilates and really like it. I’m not sporty at all and feel a bit stupid when I exercise.

So these three videos were recommended by another user on a different post I had a quick look last night and I’m going to have a go in a bit. Just trying to get my little boy off for a quick sleep! I’ll let you know how I get on with them xx

If you're a beginner, then it's best to find a good teacher with really clear instruction. Pilates with Katja is really good. I use her paid-for platform, but she has lots of free stuff on YouTube as well.

Thanks very much I’ll have a look at her web page. I have honestly tried so hard to find a class I found one class and it’s always fully booked! Maybe it’s where I live idk

If you've never done pilates before I can see from the thumbnail they are likely too advanced. It's a highly technical form of exercise. If your alignment isn't correct by an inch you can injure yourself. Pilates needs a lot of control. I would go to a proper teacher then when you feel confident you can do a home practice.

Yeah I would steer clear of things like Pop Pilates/Blogilates. Bodyfit by Amy is a certified fitness instructor, but I'm not sure if she is qualified in pilates instruction, so might not be the best for learning about alignment etc. I think this seven-day Pilates by Katja series would be a good place to start if you can't get to a class:

She gives very clear advice about alignment, posture, breathing etc.
