Best brands for running clothes?

Hello,

I've recently picked running back up again and currently have a selection of ill-fitting running clothes which need to be replaced. Which brands would you recommend? I'm happy to spend a bit if the clothes are going to last. I would also be keen to hear about sports bra recommendations, all of the ones I've previously tried haven't been particularly comfortable!

Thanks :)

Depends on body shape to an extent.

Decathlon is always worth a mooch but try stuff on as it's all different.

I find Sweaty Betty powers the best for durability with my big thighs, narrow hips ability to shred leggings. Also like Aurique but I'm not sure they're half as long lasting as Sweaty Betty in the sale (and they're about half the price).

Sports bras, again size dependant but Shock Absorber, Panache and Runderwear are worth a look.

I like Sturdy By Design and Rainbows & Sprinkles for leggings - the depth between crotch and waistband is sufficiently generous. The patterns are jolly and the fleece lined ones are excellent in the winter.

This is an excellent point. I have a long body (prefer to buy mens tshirts for this reason), medium sized bust and a small waist with wider hips. Normal length legs though!

I like Decathlon for tops/jackets and extra winter bits like gloves and hats, their leggings don't last long before the elastic goes. Nike are my favourite for shorts and leggings. I have found 1000 mile double layer socks to be the best for me and get them on Amazon.

Forgot to add, I always get Shock Absorber bras, but you need to make sure you're wearing the right size (Google Boob or Bust and start from that measurement). They should be tight if you have larger boobs.

My best leggings and bras are Goodmove from good old M&S.

Decathlon are ok for thermal winter leggings.

Maaree for sports bras (they will do a virtual fitting for you free of charge and no expectation to buy)

Sweaty Betty Power or Zero Gravity shorts and leggings are amazing and really long lasting.

Dhb running have quite a few longer length tops
