Can anyone recommend any online weights programs for beginners please?

What sort of "weights"?

People here will recommend Caroline Girvan, but she doesn't do the standard weight lifting stuff ie the 2 big all-body 'compound lifts' - deadlift and back squat, (and bench press as it's part of the Powerlifting competitive stuff). She does much more Pump-style stuff: high reps and not heavy, using dumb bells. Yes, she uses quite heavy dumbbells, but there's a big difference between what she does and what those of us who lift heavy do.

I recommend having a look at Stronger by the Day - it has an entry level programme called Before the Bar. And the fitness instructor who runs it, known as "MegSquats" is really interesting and straightforward about how she got into proper lifting. She's very down to earth and gives really good feedback.

But you could start with Pump classes at the gym to see if you like the actions of lifting. Personally, I love love love lifting properly heavy - deadlifts are my thing & I'm working to solidify my PB of 100 kilos.

Chloe Madeley's book Transform your body with weights is a great place to start
