Walking

I'm planning on getting fit by walking 5k a day, that's 2.5 walking to work and 2.5 to walk home.
I also wanna try and do weights, I've signed up to les mills online, I've got a bar bell.

I'm 5foot 5, off weigh 12stone 7lbs. I'd like to lose 7lbs by the end of October

I did a 3km walk after dinner tonight and really should do something every day, so will join you if that's ok!

I need to do more exercise too. I already walk to and from work, not sure on distance but its about a 35 min brisk walk. I bought a set of weights in the charity shop and have restarted couch to 5K.

I'm aiming to do 10,000 steps a day. Need to stop making excuses!

Diet for weight loss, exercise for fitness…….it takes approximately 3500 calories to burn 1lb of fat. Walking a mile burns probably less than 100 calories, even at brisk walking pace. 3 miles a day, 7 days a week = 2100 calories so you’re not going to loose 7lb in 4 weeks unless you eat less too.

Totally agree @emmathedilemma that you can't outrun a bad diet, but I find they often go hand in hand in that when I exercise, I tend to eat more healthily too.

@MarieJ1987 hope your day is ok! I've gone to the gym today - did 2km on the rowing machine and then weights (from an old programme I had when I used to see a PT twice a week). Easing back into it as I've not done a lot for quite some time but hoping today is a fresh start and will keep it up (& will also try to eat more healthily too!)

Definitely agree weight loss happens in the kitchen. I'm eating when hungry and stopping when full.
I did my walk atm I've logged 105mins of walking, that's with walking around at work aswel. My legs are gonna be tired by end of week!!!
