Lower belly - how to tone???

I've managed to lose a fair amount of weight so that I'm a healthy BMI and dress size, but I'm not happy with the shape of my belly!

The lower part (between bellybutton and pubic bone) is big and flabby and never seems to get smaller even when the rest of me is.

What exercises should I be doing to target this area? Abs/crunches? Or more general like running? If anyone has a link to a decent workout regime online please let me know!

I've had 3 C-sections so despite being a healthy weight I have a dreadful overhang/shelf which I hate 😫

Isn't it just a c section thing?

There isn't really anything that will get rid of the C-section overhang.

Reverse crunches and leg drops target the lower abdominals, but you should be doing this as a part of strengthening your whole core.

I'm not sure to what extent it is possible to get rid of the flab, but strengthening your core will reveal your abs and will definitely make you feel better.

Try these:

Just being able to feel my strong core helps with so many things - walking, stamina, lifting things. And stops me from raiding the fridge...

Having spoken with three different PTs about this ..... I ended up getting a tummy tuck.

Thanks all. Sounds like I need to work on my core and see where I get with that. I'll definitely have a look at the links and the exercises mentioned - thanks.

It's so frustrating being a decent weight for once but still feeling like so many clothes are unflattering or uncomfortable!
