Next weekend will be my last long rung before a half marathon October 2nd
I'm away next weekend so my options to fit my long run in are:

Friday - split 6miles on treadmilll 6-7, sort kids, then 6 miles on road 8-9
OR
Monday - long run after wkend away (thanks to the extra bank holiday)

I'd go for the long run on the Monday and do it all as one run. You've got plenty of time after that to taper.

Good luck!

Definitely the Monday -and I'd be doing 12 miles or so.

Something like 3 miles warm up, 6 at race pace/tempo, and 3 cool down.

Great thanks!
I did 12 miles yesterday at THMP +30

I'll plan some some shorter ones this week & running club & then do my last long run next Monday then some shorter ones during taper

Did my 12 miles Monday ... well 11.3

Then did 4.4 with running club last night, plan says for a interval session was going to do treadmill tomorrow morning & 6 miles to do on weekend which I'll do Sat

Just wondering now if that is a lot the week before
Race is 2nd oct?!

That sounds about okay if you're an experienced runner but listen to your body.

No one here can tell you whether it's too much for you without knowing your running background.

I stopped my longest run - 22 miles, 2 weeks before the Great North Run. Everything else after that was shorter than 50 minutes whether it was an easy run or goal pace run.

Yet someone else who completed it in a similar time to me did a 14 mile run just 4 days before. She is in the age group beneath me though.
