Big enough for a towel, kit, shoes, make up and toiletries.

I don't live anywhere near somewhere to browse and 'litres' means nothing to me

in terms of litres, 30L is about the size of the rucsacs school kids might use for school. If you are carrying a towel and shoes, you prob want 40 + L.

I have this and it's just right for me. Shoes go in a side pocket, and there are some outside zip pockets too. I think it's about 35L interior.
