Neck rolls

Hi everyone, so I've just started a health regime for myself where I go gym 3 days a week and try my best to eat as healthy as I can (not always following but I'm doing well I would say) so initially I was a size 16 but I'm very tall and the only bothersome thing I had was my stomach, I've now lost weight and fit into more so size 14's now and my friends say I've lost so much, but I now have crazy neck rolls out of nowhere! I never had this when I was bigger... and I don't actually look big but I feel the neck rolls don't do me no favours :( is this a genetics thing? How can I get rid of them? I've mentioned it to my friends and they say I'm not fat and to stop worrying and that they don't tend to look at someone's neck to differ if they are big or not etc etc etc. just making me feel a bit self conscious is all :(

You can specific certain area fat loss I’m afraid you just need to shift the weight

TheOtherWoman2 · 24/08/2022 21:32

Can’t target specific areas*

I was thinking that but I wouldn't even say I'm big? Like I'm very happy with my weight currently and I've lost a lot, just seems weird how I lose it now I gather the rolls so annoying lol

if you’re a size 14 you’re still technically overweight most size 14-16 I know have larger necks. Don’t take it personally everyone has it! I wouldn’t worry too much unless it’s really bothering you then you need to lose a bit more hope that helps xx

It might just take time for everything to adjust, a bit like when people have loose skin on their body and it often improves over time.

Those lines you get on your neck, anyways I actually found out I had these lines when I was a size 12 so it's not to do with weight lol, I think it's more of a genetic thing I just didn't ever notice

I have neck rolls! I'm a size 8/10 and not overweight but I have a baby face with chubby cheeks and a genetic double chin. I just carry my weight in my face. Even when I was unwell and far too thin, I still had neck rolls.

Annoying but you can fake tan and contour your neck. So, if you cream contour the sides, it'll look slimmer. You can also do exercises where you press your tongue to the roof of your mouth and hold it, you'll feel your neck tensing.

Good luck and well done on your weight loss! It isn't easy.

I’ve been Googling WRF and can’t work out what it is. Typo?

Not sure. Sounded quite dramatic though! 🤣
