Because I love my Peloton, love talking about it Grin and love talking about exercise and workouts in general (and nobody in RL cares), anybody want to join me in a thread to discuss what classes/programs we are doing?

I also love Caroline Girvan but she's been swerved lately for all things Peloton 😌

Nobody? 🤭

I've got the tread not the bike but the facebook groups are pretty good for discussing stuff when ny partner is fed up of hearing about it

florenceandthemac · 19/05/2022 22:18

Do you do the other classes on the app? I have the bike but I'm currently doing a strength program too (and the power zones bike program)

I keep meaning to but honestly three runs a week plus one outside is enough atm. I think I might try tacking on a 10 min core class to the end of a run now I've got a tv setup in the gym and room for a most and weights

RockaLock · 19/05/2022 22:24

I love my peloton bike too, OP!!

We got it about a year ago, having never done a spin class in my life before, but needed something to give me a kick start to exercise.

I mainly do 20/30min rides, and always follow them with a 10min arms & light weights. I try to work out 4-5 times a week.

Favourite instructors are mainly brits: Hannah F, Sam, Leanne, Ben.

florenceandthemac · 19/05/2022 22:31

Mine are the brits too, just Hannah and Sam as I haven't come across any others yet due to doing the power zones program for the last two weeks. I've only had the bike a month.
I do have a gym membership and am missing going really. I still do a strength class at my gym, plus a 10k row once a week, but the peloton is amazing for when DH is away and I can't get to the gym due to DC.
In fact, I'm going to go on it now to do my power zones class. I did my the strength program class earlier, but then had tea with my DS so needed a gap between eating and my next class!
It's so handy!

I LOVE my peloton!
I love the Jess simms bike bootcamps most of all- the 60min advanced ones are brutal but such a good workout.
In fact I love all her classes and the flash 15 strength classes are another favourite.

I do a mix of bike, bootcamps, stength and some cardio. I’ve tried a class of dance, barre, yoga and boxing but they didn’t really inspire me.

I love classes with Jess, Sam, Daniel, Robin and camilla mainly. Occasionally do a jenn Sherman bike but I have to be in the right mood!

florenceandthemac · 19/05/2022 22:41

I forget about the boot camps. I was worried I was lacking space to do them, however I think there should be enough room if I take the ironing board down that's permanently up next to the bike 😬
I'll take a look at those you mentioned, after I've finished my current programs

Let me know what you think!
Be good of anyone else wants to recommend the odd class too.

nbee84 · 20/05/2022 22:29

I have done Leanne's 30 min Pete Tong club classical ride a few times as the music is great - also Ben's 20 min Fallout Boy ride. I don't usually do the same ride more than once as there are so many different ones to try but both of these are great.
Love Bradley for a bit of inane chatter Grin
Like #Allthelols I love a Jess Sims bootcamp and try and do an advanced 60 min class every now and then - as she says 'brutal'!

florenceandthemac · 21/05/2022 12:17

Oh I'll give that Pete Tong one a go!
I'm the same, I don't like repeating classes, unless I want to compare how I did both times to see improvement 💪🏽

Hi
was wondering if anyone has a £100 code they could pm me? Thanks

Sameiam · 28/05/2022 08:02

Sent you mine just in case you still need.

Can share 60 day free trial invites for the app as well if anyone wanted to try it a bit longer and see what classes are like.

Did a 10 minute core class after a quick run class yesterday and omg I'm dying. Didnt realise quite how much it would hurt even to do a beginner class 😪think I might be trying to do some more core strength and yoga classes if people have recommendations.

Twilightstarbright · 28/05/2022 08:05

My people!! DH won’t let me bore him
about the Peloton anymore.

I enjoy the barre classes and Pilates classes, and the hardcore on the floor Facebook group is great for a strength programme.

Today I’m doing either Spice Girls or Backstreet Boys ride. I’ve been in a rut and need some pop music to reset.

MrOllivander · 28/05/2022 19:58

I love mine! Mostly do power zone classes with some fun stuff (Cody) thrown in

florenceandthemac · 29/05/2022 14:56

Been away for the weekend eating and drinking and know I need to get back and hammer it!

Hi- I am very confused! Just ordered the peloton (not plus). I have to have membership of £39 per month. How is this different to the app? The app is £12 for three months? Is the app designed for people who don’t have a peloton? If I have membership can I use the app if I am on holiday? Is that included in the £39 membership! Sorry for so many questions? Hoping to do a British live class at 5.30 am/ any suggestions on best instructors with brilliant music? Thanks!

Yeah the app is designed for people who don't have membership. The £39 gives you the app included so you don't need to pay both

MrOllivander · 04/06/2022 14:24

And yes can use the app anywhere! I cast the stretch classes to my TV as not enough room to do them next to my bike

Exitstrategist · 04/06/2022 14:47

Thank you- makes sense. What are your favourite instructors? Looking for good music! Is there a live 5.30am class?

The live ones varies on the day but you can see the live schedule on the app
Cody does lots of pop rides so it depends what music you like really! You can filter by music type too on the classes but try a few instructors out and see who you gel with
