Can I do a decent workout with 6kg kettlebells?

I'm absolutely failing to get to the gym so thinking maybe a more achievable goal would be 15/20 mins at home each day. I have 6kg kettlebells and 2x 2kg dumbbells. Could anyone suggest a routine?

I don't really like following workouts on YouTube and would be happier to have a written down routine to follow so I can listen to my own music - hence asking on here.

ps I'm pretty unfit but even so are the weights way too light?

Thanks!

If you're not that fit then body weight is fine to start with, better than nothing.

Squats
Lunges
Plank
Walkouts
Mountain climbers
Press ups (on knees?)

Exercise for 30 secs, rest for 30secs. For as long as you can!

Agree to start with body weight and go from there to push yourself. I like this idea but would need to set a time limit on it or I would stop pretty quickly!

You could watch a youtube video recording what the moves are to do in your own time, plus there's a record of being able to see what the moves are. There is an option to watch x2 speed.

I like a 6kg kettlebell. I can go a bit higher for a move with more body power like a kettlebell swing. I tend to use a pair, one lighter/ heavier as I need to go lighter on some single arm exercises.

I use the kettlebells Fitify app

The DBs will be fine for things like the IYT exercise. That gets tiring pretty fast.

The KB will probably be fine for swings - you can increase the time you swing and reduce the break time as you get more used to it, and then you can move on to single arm swings.

Once you find bodyweight squats less challenging you can hold the KB in a goblet squat. And then hold it up in a rack position on each side and do squats, which will challenge the core even more due to the uneven loading.

How are you getting on Op?

Do you make your routine up as you go along or are you following you tube workouts?
