Running Leggings for Large Thighs

Hi everyone

I used to really be into running before I had my children but I’ve now really lost my fitness and confidence! I am so self conscious about my body and find it a barrier to starting exercise again. Does anyone have any recommendations for leggings that are more flattering for large wobbly thighs and a big bum?! Id be so grateful as I just don’t know where to start given that you can’t just go to a shop and try them on very easily these days.

They’re expensive, but Sweaty Betty Power leggings are really flattering (I’ve got big thighs and they fit me well). I’ve tried lots of others but always come back to these.

Sweaty Betty are very expensive for their build quality.

I'd try Sturdy By Design, Contra, Flanci (good skorts, rather bright). Or Decathlon whose quality is excellent and VFM unbeatable

decathlon come up small.
but their leggings are good quality.

I really like Marks and Spencer’s Good Move leggings

Asda's sports leggings are great. Only £12 too. Fit true to size and don't slip down. The mesh bit on the side of the leg keeps you cooler too. Great pockets, wide waist band, etc

Sweaty Betty in the sale. Easily the most durable for me by a good margin relative to price.

Gymshark Speeds are ok. Less durable than the Sweaty Betty powers but ok. Look fine and have the all important drawstring.

Aurique from Amazon is a decent budget option (£20ish). Similar seam design to SB, less durable inside thigh region...

Tikiboo are good but not cheap.

I've had some really good stuff from Aldi and Lidl but it's dumb luck - others have been rubbish!

Sweaty Betty.

After spending 20 years hoiking up my workout leggings I’m a convert! Even my super critical DM commented on how slim my legs looked in them.

There’s a survey on their website to find the perfect ones for you. I recently got a few pairs in their sale - easy to do if you’re not too fussy about the colour.

Sweaty betty power- amazing. You can get 15% off new customer codes

Asda George are awful- roll down and see through shiny

Good move are ok but size up if needed

Decathlon are the best for me. My main deciding making factor is donthey have a drawstring, though. Without a drawstring they just roll down on me!

I was drawn in by all of the praise on here for M&S Good Move leggings but I was really disappointed. They were tight without feeling supportive, somehow.

Thanks everyone. I’ve got some great options to look at now!
