Apps for Apple Watch after Fitbit?

I’ve been using Fitbits for years - I love their functions but have got fed up with their reliability- my Charge 4 stopped tracking halfway through my last two runs.

So I’ve upgraded to an Apple Watch, and generally I love it, but it’s much better as a watch than a tracker!

I really miss the sleep tracker function - I found it helpful to see the REM cycles. I’ve looked at reviews and bought Autosleep, but it’s still not as good.

I’m also a bit disappointed with the run tracking as it doesn’t map elevation in the same way. I’m thinking of getting Strava. Any good?

So (apart from telling me to stop being so obsessed with measuring things!) do you have any recommendations for apps?

Hi, OP - I absolutely love my Apple Watch for fitness tracking. I really like Strava for run tracking, yes it it does track elevation, and will show you an elevation map. I also like it because it does audible splits, so I don't need to keep checking it.

I do also like just the standard Fitness app, I think it's really, really good. That also does elevation tracking (though not with a plan - is that your issue?), but has so, so many different activities. I use it for everything except running because (last time I checked) it didn't have audible splits.

It did take a while for me to get comfortable with the watch, but I really love it now. I would replace it instantly if it died.

Thanks both. I’ve got Strava now and really like it. I’ll have a look at sleepwatch
