Gloves for weights

Can anyone recommend some? I need some gloves for when I'm doing weights work with my PT. My barbell and dumbbells are textured metal and I find my hands slip when they're sweaty. I also have quite small hands.

I got mine from Decathlon. Hand size is an issue though - the gloves reduce (slightly) the extent to which my grip overlaps on the barbell, if that makes sense. I use liquid chalk now, when needed.

For grip I found wrist straps work a lot better than gloves. I also do farmers walks to help improve grip strength.

I got mine from sports direct

I've ordered a pair from Decathlon to try. I know that some lifters use hand wraps - I used to box and still have some wraps somewhere so I guess I could also try those? It's definitely the grip thing for me, my wrists are fine, but my PT works me hard and everything is sweaty.

I use liquid chalk.
Used gloves at 1st but I started getting slipping with heavier weights which was irritating.

I got my Nike ones from tkmaxx for £7.

Chalk.

I have some gym shark gloves that I really like. I don't think they were very pricey either.

Yes, I know about sweat, it is tricky. The barbell issue for me was that gloves meant my fingers overlapped less, making it harder to maintain my grip at heavier weights (I was deadlifting more than I weighed at that point). Only an issue with barbells because of their girth. I now mostly do calisthenics where big overhead bars give me the same issue sometimes, but it is mostly outdoors so less sweaty. Chalk helps though.

My PT gets me to do farmers walks to help with grip strength. I walk lengths holding dumb bells, it's not the most exciting thing but it does help with the heavier deadlift sets.

Definitely have a look in TK Maxx, that's where I get mine from (I'm a fellow sweaty hander 🤣)

Testing out my Decathlon ones with PT tomoz! The XS fits me well and the grip seems good.

I use the cheapest ones I can find from either Sports Direct or Decathlon but I'm not 'lifting' as such - just doing basic stuff with dumbbells and barbells but I don't like getting callouses
