Anyone got fit/lost weight using a mini trampoline? Anything in particular I should be looking for when I buy one?

This thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for trampoline recommendations, we’ve recently updated our best trampolines page with lots of great options, as tried and tested by Mumsnet users and their kids. We hope you find it useful.

There was a thread about someone losing weight using a mini trampoline yesterday so it might be worth doing a search

Oh ok thank you. Someone on tv was doing a rebound exercise class wearing the shoes, so I thought a trampoline would be a similarly effective workout.

I have a bellicon trampoline. Expensive . It’s a bungee trampoline not traditional springs. It’s my second bell icon. My last one lasted 9 years before the mat actually tore.
I have been rebounding since 1999. I don’t do it for as long or as much as I should but it’s the only exercise I’ve kept up

I have a Bellicon! Cost over £1000, but let's not think about that... Was an impulse purchase during the second lockdown. I use it, but not half so much as I intended to. It's great quality though. My main problem is I can't think of what music to have on while I bounce!

I think firstly it depends on what colour clips you have. If you have clips that make the bounce quite firm or fast compared to one that is slow with a deep bounce. Mine is firm. I have fast music with a certain beat snd jog. I have music for a little bounce snd slow for when I stand snd do weights . I have the stick that attaches so I can bounce high snd I also use it to do leg workouts snd squats. I rarely do that though I must admit
