I run not far and not often but as 60+ year old I do value it and even enjoy it a bit!
Had piles since dcs 20+ yrs ago,but never bad and mostly completely forget them. But they do flare up sometimes after a loose tummy, which I have at the moment (too much soft fruit!)
Anyhow they weren't troubling me until the descent on my short road run this morning, then Ow!
I had to stop, walked on for a bit then at the bottom, began running again and it was fine thereafter.
I'm suspecting its a combination of running downhill, possibly not spongy enough shoes (proper sauconie running shoes but they were bought for trails), and (oh dear) the extra 4kg or so that has crept on round my middle over the winter - that I was obviously hoping to start shifting.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips? The pain passed off reasonably quickly (maybe a minute or so) but I don't want to start getting my backside into bad habits
