Climbing during pregnancy

Hello,

I am in such early stages of pregnancy we haven't announced it to most people. However, I like to climb (mostly indoors as I live in London) and wondered if there are any other pregnant climbers here? Or mums that climbed during their pregnancy? I will post on UKC too.... But just joined up here so thought I would speak up.

Do you follow Shauna Coxsey on insta? She's newly pregnant and still climbing, and posts a lot about it.

If you are using a safety harness you will most likely be fine to continue so long as you feel comfortable. Early stages baby is well protected, reasses how you feel once bump emerges as you'll need to be extra cautious then.

I did. I just changed to a full body harness when bump was too big.

I then started climbing with dc on my back in an ergo (not indoors) but nice easy scrambly trad routes outdoors and via ferrata stuff.

You don’t have to stop when you have kids x

I should say that dc we’re in a harness in the ergo which was linked to my harness safely.
