Diastasis recti-MUTU?

Allaboutthefood · 08/12/2021 21:55

I'm 11 weeks post partum and getting back to my exercise routine. However I have bad diastasis recti and probably should fix this first.

Has anyone followed the MUTU method? It's a bit pricey so wondering if it's worth it. I know youtube has plenty of free core exercise videos but I need something that will keep me accountable. I'm more likely to follow something structured especially with the promise of improvement if I stick with it which MUTU seems to offer.

Would love to hear your suggestions and experiences. Thanks!

Hi @Allaboutthefood - I've been doing the MUTU method on and off for a few years and it's definitely helped me. I think if you signed up to their newsletter you got a small discount, but they occasionally do flash sales, so definitely worth signing up to hear about those Smile

I didn't/ don't find the chat boards very active, but the program was certainly structured, and doesn't try to go too quickly. With hindsight I think I rushed my c-section recovery by doing too much cardio and I should have started with MUTU or used it alongside more gentle exercise. I hope it goes well for you!

Hi @ClaraTheImpossibleGirl that's so helpful thank you! I had 2 c sections and went straight back to cardio after the first one as I knew nothing about diastasis recti at the time. After a second pregnancy it's worse than ever. I look 6 months pregnant despite being back to my normal weight. I think I'm going to go for it! I'm not too bothered about the chat boards, really just want to be told 'this is what you need to do today'

Hope you find it useful @Allaboutthefood! I must find the motivation time to start mine again Blush let me know when you're making a start, we can try to keep each other going!!

I forgot to say that they do talk about food and other topics as well as exercise, plus once you join, you get it for life - I liked those aspects about it. I really need to start the exercises again as I currently also look pregnant with a baby hippo and it's very depressing! C section pouch, you are my nemesis Angry
