Apple Watch Vo2 max shock

I recently got an Apple Watch, my fitness levels are definitely poor, lowdown working at home, at my desk 12 hours a day, health conditions that leave me exhausted and sore….

Anyway, Apple Watch has recorded my vo2 max at 20.5 which is apparently very low. How awful is this?? am I going to drop down dead

Any tips on the fastest way to improve

I'm 42 and mine is just under 20 😫😫

Similarly to you desk based working from home for 20 months with very low motivation.

Yes my watch gave me the notification and I viewed it in the Apple health app

Well there you are then, you're at a desk 12 hrs a day, and you have health issues. It's not going to be great under those circumstances. Can you walk about a bit for 5 mins per hour, or will that not fit with your health issues? Otherwise, there are chair-based exercises that could help? Doing a little bit of something every so often will help.

I can definitely move more yes, just need to push myself. I was just shocked at how awful the the score was. Will be reading through the other threads for some encouragement and tips

No, you won’t drop dead, but you need to up fitness. Can you get out for a 30 minute walk every day? The more you move the more energy you will have and the better you will feel. VO2 max can be improved just by regular consistent exercise.
