Talk to me about foam rolling

Over heard positive things about foam rolling after running.
I would love to be more disciplined about stretching afterwards but I confess I've not really done it this week as I just want to get inside to be warm.

Where should I start I when looking for a roller? Does anyone have any recommendations for videos?

Thanks in advance.

Foam rolling is very simple but very effective. Just a cheapy one with knobbles on, from Decathlon or Amazon or similar, will do the trick. Put as much of your bodyweight on it as you can bear, and roll over the bits that hurt! If you're doing it mainly to prevent injury, focus on the glutes, quads and calves.

This sort of thing is what you're after. You can buy soft versions if you're not ready for full torture yet Grin

Oh thanks @fellrunner85. Not sure whether I'm ready for hard spiky roller just yet!

Hate it!!
Get a hand held electric massager instead, we have a Renpho one.
