Headphones and gym treadmill

Ok so I've just rejoined the gym after a long absence. I turned up with my ancient headphones to find myself completely bemused by the treadmill. Evidently the world has moved on a bit, so am I meant to use Bluetooth headphones? How do I actually connect them to the treadmill? Apologies, I'm not terribly tech savvy. Any advice on which to buy much appreciated too.

Don't the wireless headphones connect to your phone, so you can hear music through that?

Not a clue, you plug them in old school style at my gym!! Ask one of the staff.

I would ask the gym staff. I haven't been to the gym for ages so I can't quite remember myself!
