Pilates on youtube, who do you recommend?

I think I need to do some Pilates for strengthening, I prefer yoga but I have hypermobility so I think all my joints need to be strengthened.

I'm wondering if there is a good pilates teacher on youtube so I can ease into pilates.

I love yoga with Adriene and wanted to know if there is a pilates equivalent Smile

Also what benefits have you noticed if you do pilates regularly? And how often do you do it?

Lottie Muprphy. I think she is fab and agree about strengthening muscles around joints if you are hypermobile: I am not, average to good mobility, but do strength training and physio recommended Pilates not yoga.

I do loads of other stuff too so it is hard to say exactly what benefits Pilates brings, but it definitely helped me after an injury as slow controlled movements. My dh subscribes to Lottie's paid channel and was a complete beginner - he is definitely stronger and more flexible. I think how often to see benefits depends on what ese you are doing, how long the class is etc.

Isa Welly is good. Quite like the balanced life and trifecta Pilates too. Really depends on what kind of instructor you like. I love ywa and find these people ok too but you might not

m.youtube.com/c/PilatesClare this is my channel. Have been teaching for years but only just started my channel! Happy to help if you have any questions. Pilates definitely better than yoga for hypermobility as those who hyperextension should generally work more on strengthing the muscles around the joints and not just stretching.
