Can anyone recommend a decent SPF that would last a few hours of running on a very sweaty person please?

I use Soltan once, it's very thick so takes a while to rub in but lasts really well & even though I sweat loads it doesn't run

p20 spf 50. It smells awful, and you need to apply it after a shower onto clean skin then let it soak in before dressing, but I am ridiculously sun sensitive and I can do a triathlon without burning when using it

I recommend P20 spf 50 spray on, dries instantly and lasts all day as sweat resistant it's brill

I use Soltan Factor 50. It's actually the kids one we have so waterproof. Easily lasts half a day and I'm very sweaty!

Thanks all!

P20, it's the best for sweat resistance.
It is best to put it on before getting dressed and letting it dry.

Skala123 · 28/09/2021 11:46

Sunbum! It's what most outdoor athletes I know use

paradyning · 28/09/2021 20:44

Thanks! It will probably piss it down now!

I’ve been experimenting (I live in the south of Spain so sunscreen is vital). P20 gave me acne across my shoulders and back after one use, quite like decathlon spf50 but find I sweat through (very sweaty runner here- no glowing for me sadly) Delial (can’t remember what it’s called in U.K.) is pretty good but I still get colour on my longer runs. Cap every day as I’m sure you already do

paradyning · 29/09/2021 20:33

No I don't wear a cap actually! That's a good point. I used to but no idea where it is now

Delial is Ambre Solaire in the UK.

Vicliz24 · 29/09/2021 22:18

I use Ultrasun Sport . It's a clear gel and I like it .

foobio · 29/09/2021 22:42

Sunseal microskin - lasts 3 days and fully waterproof.

I use Nivea invisible spray. I burn really badly, and I run often and far (so am out in the sun a lot), and I have been fine using this, including a 5 hr marathon in full sun
and 30c heat. Because it's so light, it doesn't block pores like a thick cream can do.
I do always have a bandana across my forehead though - I get really bad pigmentation on my face, so nothing other than a complete barrier is any good.

Are you running London...? I'd be really wary of doing anything new on race day. I think the forecast is good, but not sun-burn weather?
