Looking for recommendations for torch/light for running.

Is a head torch or chest light better?

Many thanks

I like it on my head, my friend was telling me she bought a chest light and didn;t realise how much she swings her body when she runs until she with it!!
I've got one of these which was the best price for the most lumens when I looked around last year. I think it's actually gone down in price since I bought mine. It's USB rechargeable and I've never had to use it on full brightness around the roads.

I prefer a chest torch. In cold weather, I can often only see my own breath clouds from a head torch.

Decathlon do a good one with hi-vis and a flashing rear panel.

Definitely a head torch - the Alpkit ones are good, though my Decathlon one is decent too.

Definitely a headtorch if you want to see where you are going - a chest torch is really only useful to be seen on the road. I'd also recommend Alpkit ones - they are good quality and a very reasonable price (they have a sale on at the moment).

I’d say decathlon body light for road running, head torch for trail running ( more likely to want to see obstructions at head height !)

I use a kalenji chest light for trail running the the dark and it’s brill. The light can be adjusted to point up/down/ahead depending on what you’re most likely to trip over/run into! Like pp I noticed how much my body swings though and it does take a little bit of getting used to that.
