Online core strength class for couch potato - any suggestions?

I’ve not done any exercise for so long - I need to strengthen my bum and tum as they are turning to mush, and I’m noticing some back pain. Physios have suggested core exercises, but I’m thinking I may be more successful in following a short daily routine online, than an exercise sheet.

I wouldn’t manage a whole exercise class in the gym. I’m thinking more 5/10 mins few times a week.

Any suggestions?

Lottie Murphy or Yoga with Adriene on YouTube is fab. Lots of choice and different lengths

Les Mills in demand has excellent core workouts - has made a big difference to me.

They usually have a 30 day free trial so you can see if it’s for you, but you do need a resistance band for most of the workouts

Thanks both, I will check them out. I’m determined to change things.

Check out the app, ROM coach. It has a test to assess your where your imbalances are. Then it gives short routines to do a couple of times a week targeting your weak or tight spots.

Les Mills App. Bodybalance would be good for you and it’s broken down into segments as well

I love LMOD, and the core stuff is great.

You don’t need a resistance band to get going with it. There’s a video in the app they did in lockdown called ‘no gear, no problem‘ showing all the ways you can do their exercises without the kit.

I’ve done step without a step, weights with bags of rice, and used old tights as a Band.

And at the start, if you’re as unfit as I was, then bodyweight only is the way to go. (No weights, no band)

Thank you all. Sound like great suggestions - I will get on it. I will I will (repeat repeat )
