Does anyone have any recommendations for a Pilates tutorial via YouTube or Amazon Prime?
For an unfit, stiff and slightly scared beginner.

yogawithadriene.com

Yoga with Adriene has several introduction to yoga month long courses.

She is very gentle.

Me!
I have lots of short tutorials on there and a few beginners workouts. Let me know if I can help

SillyBlueHat · 14/09/2021 20:47

I've tried the yoga ones but really do prefer Pilates.

I'll give that a go!

What a numpty I was, I didn't absorb you were looking for Pilates somehow.

I like Nicole, she is on YouTube. I find her instruction to be clear, her voice is not annoying and she packs a lot into a session. Overall, very enjoyable and time efficient.

She has lots of workouts and you can choose how long you want to do, from 20- 60 mins and your level.

Just search Nicole and Pilates on YouTube.

Enjoy. X

Lottie Murphy on YouTube has some great ones. Lots of different lengths and difficulty levels. Her voice is so soothing and calm as well. She has a two week program playlist and a 24 days of Pilates playlist if you want somewhere to start without having to plan it yourself.

NevermindNelson · 20/09/2021 17:45

@Epponnee I’ve just done day one of Lottie Murphy’s 24 day plan on your recommendation. I loved it, it’s good calm Pilates. Now I have to do the next 23 days 🙂

Epponnee · 21/09/2021 01:27

@NevermindNelson I’m glad you liked it! I love when she says ‘we’re working strong but calm’ Grin it definitely gets more challenging but it’s a great series.

NevermindNelson · 21/09/2021 08:11

@Epponnee I liked that bit too 🙂 I’m carrying an injury and this was perfect.

@SillyBlueHat Have you had a look at any? My suggestions would be Jessica Smith and Isawelly both very different, but both perfect at the right time.

Thirded for Lottie Murphy. We subscribe to her paid studio, started with the free you tube classes. I think she is excellent.

pilates-anywhere.com/

We do classes with our local physio. Very good cues & lots of levels. Really nice classes.

Wombat96 · 21/09/2021 13:59

Some paid, some free...

Fordian · 11/10/2021 20:52

Watching with interest.

SillyBlueHat · 05/11/2021 17:42

I've enjoyed Lottie Murphy so far. I'm finding it achievable for a complete beginner. Nicole is a little tougher but will build up. Going to try the other recommendations this week

Kait Coats is great! She explains each move really clearly. She does pilates, yoga and some pilates/ yoga fusion classes which are great

BatshitCrazyWoman · 11/12/2021 06:22

I like The Girl with the Pilates Mat on YouTube.

Tightwad2020 · 11/12/2021 10:28

Pilates with Ange on YouTube. I'm more into at home ballet, but this has good stuff if I want to get very specific on a body part.

southchinasea · 16/12/2021 21:48

I like Pilates with Georgia - she's a physio and has lots of rehab classes and lovely restorative ones as well as a wide variety of other videos. You can follow a set 'strong' or 'restore' plan each month or get an individualised one as well.
