My samsung gear pro 2 died yesterday.
I am looking at at Samsung Activ 2 , which has a swim ap, but seen that samsung aren't honouring under warranty for water damage!
Ideally want a watch to wear daily, so can get phone notifications, but will also track lengths , heart beat etc
Not sure on price etc the activ 2 is 229, but can get grey market much cheaper.

I have a garmin forerunner 245 which is fundamentally a running watch but has a swim tracking activity option. It does steps, HR, sleep, bluetooth to your phone so it vibrates when you get calls or messages etc. But you might be paying for more than you need if you don't need the GPS running functionality. I think it's about £249.

I was going to say garmin too.

If you are eligible for a blue light card you can get one with a significant discount via the website.

The Apple Watch does swimming workouts too - either open water or fixed lengths.

Also does the other things you've mentioned.

I use apple watch during swimming workouts. But the cost is little high compare with other watches.

I got the Coros Pace 2 recently, it has GPS and maps my swims. I highly recommend it.

Garmin Fenix 6s

I use a garmin vivoactive 4 and really like it. I swim every week, but also do a combination of running, yoga, horse riding, hiking and youtube strength and cardio workouts. The watch can track all of them, which I why I bought it: it's more of a general exercise watch than the forerunner series

seconding the garmin vivoactive 4, I don't swim for exercise but have worn it in the pool splashing around many times and it has a swim tracking app. As shurl says its more of a general exercise watch than the forerunners
