Has anyone ever done this and seen a difference? An example pic is attached.

Let’s say your diet is typically healthy but nothing special.

Well it's complete and utter bollocks, isnt it?! Grin

MsWalterMitty · 11/09/2021 20:00

I’ve no idea! It seems to be everywhere, well on lots of fitness websites.

I know diet is important... so me maybe a super healthy low fat diet paired up with this would work?

What does "work" mean though? What are you hoping to achieve?

If it's defined, toned, abs then that's essentially just about body fat percentage. I have a bit of a six pack (sort of, in certain lights!!) but that's because I have little fat on my stomach and run a lot. A few crunches won't give you a six pack if you have a layer of fat over the muscle.

Minesril · 11/09/2021 20:33

As Jillian says, you can't just do crunches, that's a lie!

Howsyourfather · 11/09/2021 20:43

abs are made in the kitchen!

MsWalterMitty · 11/09/2021 22:12

Crunches must do something though? Stronger core? = better running form? Maybe??

Not really. Crunches are a bit pointless, particularly as so many people (including me) find it hard to get the form right, and power from their shoulders and neck instead. For core strength you're much better off doing planks, Pilates, that sort of thing.
