I am 49 and do no strength training at all. I used to do weekly yoga pre pandemic but all I do now endlessly plod the pavements with my dog. I would love an easy, non intimidating strength based programme to follow as I am very good at following directions. I don’t want Les Mills or shouty men, and not a fan of Davina xxx

What about Sydney Cummings ? Adaptable because the weight of dumbells is your choice but she will always encourage you to challenge yourself and is not shouty at all.

I am a fan of MegSquats and Jason and Lauren Pak, both on Instagram. MegSquats runs paid for courses on lifting for women, but has a lot of free content as well on her YouTube channel. All of them are really encouraging about women lifting & getting strong, and give great tips about barbell lifting.
