Specifically before running a half marathon, I'm doing the London landmarks on Sunday , it's not my first but can't remember what I ate before the others 😂

What do you usually have for breakfast?

Have a version of that.

What time is your start wave, and how long is your journey to get to the start?
I doubt you'd want to have anything sitting heavy in your tummy, but if you have a few hours before you'll be running, go large but stay familiar

Hmm. Running or racing it? If I'm racing hard I tend to get up early and have a weetabix with milk, and a cup of coffee around 2-3 hours before the race starts. If I'm just running it (ie not going all out) I just have coffee beforehand and then eat afterwards.

Personally I’d have porridge or overnight oats and maybe a banana 2-2,5 hours before a half marathon. Everyone is different though, I run with people who’d do that on an empty stomach and others who could eat a full cooked breakfast and a pint 10min before the race and their digestive system would hold out!!

I won't be racing it but it'll take mr about 2.5 hours,it's in London so will be fair amount of travel time and we wave start time is about 10.30 so not eating beforehand might not be wise,I'd normally have cerwl or toast but not sure that's balanced enough or will hive me enough fuel as won't eat again till about 1pm earliest

If you're going to be out for that long then you might want to fuel along the way. And definitely breakfast between 7 and 8 if you're not running until 10.30.

How about weetabix or porridge, and a banana, for breakfast, and a couple of gels in your pack for if you get tired at 10/11 miles?

Scrambled eggs on toast with tea
Pancakes and bacon
Waffles or crumpets
Fruit or porridge
Cereal or meat
Oats

I had porridge an hour before my run when I did a half marathon (started around 9am)

I’m doing this! I’m having my usual breakfast of a bagel and taking fuel for along the way (cereal bar/haribo).
