Renting or buying a treadmill

Hi, am looking for advice and tips about renting a treadmill and then investing in one eventually for home use by me and my family. Have entered a half marathon next year to raise funds in memory of my late dad. Ran/hobbled the London Marathon years ago and am now unfit, peri meno and in need to move my butt to get ready! Am hoping to find recommendations of good hire companies in first instance. Please help as not sure where to start/how much to pay.

Sorry, am no help re who to rent from, but it is great to have a treadmill at home! Very convenient. Do you mind me asking why you're renting rather than buying straight away? Is it because you want to test out the treadmill first?

I was thinking of hiring a treadmill and found these people. www.homegymuk.com/product/exercise-equipment-for-hire/gym-exercise-treadmills-and-walkers/classic-run-1-0/. In my case, I've not fully recovered from an operation I had late last year and I don't feel up to getting myself to the gym. Working out at home would solve that problem. Would these hire fees fit into your budget?
