How many time should I aim to do HIIT?

I’ve been running for 6 months since doing c25k in January

I started off enjoying it but my regular routes are getting boring and I’m not seeing results as fast as I’d like

I did my first 30 mins hiit today and loved it

If I do this instead of running (maybe il do one run at weekend a week) how many times should I aim to do hiit?

Could you run once a week a HIIt twice? Maybe add beginners yoga for one short session a week?

It depends on what your goals are. Losing weight? Getting faster? Running a marathon?

I do it 4-5 times a week to maintain weight.

With your running, are you just running 5k each time or are you mixing it up with sprints and hill training etc I’m no expert but I did look into this a couple of years ago and lots of running sites were saying to mix it up like that to improve your time and stop it getting boring.
