Junior parkrun today - did anyone go?

I have one qualifying child and they didn’t want to go . Also we would have had to travel slightly further as our usual one hasn’t started yet and wasn’t sure that we should be doing that anyway. So living the dream vicariously through the results tables, social media and hopefully some happy mumsnet stories.

Was anyone there? Was it as amazing as you imagined?

Answering my own question because our local was back today and my young enough child wanted to be there so we went. Just as amazing as I imagined. Familiar faces, lots of cheering, happy kids, junior warm up with the old parkrun hip circles and fun - same as it ever was. Brilliant volunteers. Glorious sunshine helped too!

Normality is gradually returning

We've been back for our second time this week.

Typical numbers for time of year despite the lack of 11-14s. Loads of cute little newbies (making me appreciate how much mine have grown... we've been going since 2015!) Last week my 8yo latched onto a 10yo to tail and totally smashed his old pb in sub 10 mins.

A few 5k volunteers plugging the gap and catching up.

It's lovely, the atmosphere is so very normal!
