Nordic track or Peleton?

Hi been reading reviews of Peleton for ages and almost ready to take the plunge (and definitely need to start doing something following months of eating my way through lockdown! ). Has anyone got experience of the Nordic Track S22i as a comparison? They both look very similar - trying to figure out the differences. Thanks

I use the Peloton app, I have used the Peloton bike at the gym. If you are paying £££ for the Nordictrack then using Peloton for classes you may feel you are missing out on tracking your progress and matching the guidance in the classes. The Peloton bike is very quiet and smooth and a very immersive experience.

I use the Peloton app on my Ipad, or streamed to the TV, and we've got an old spin bike in the garage. The app is only £13 a month (I'm actually using it for free at the moment thanks to my health insurance, but if they discontinue the benefit, I'll likely continue with it).

If we didn't already have the spin bike, I'd be tempted by the Peloton bike, but the upfront cost plus the higher monthly fee would be hard to swallow. I love the idea of the leaderboard and the additional metrics, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra for me. Also, presumably on the Nordik Track you can stream various services on the screen, whereas I'd assume on the Peloton you can only stream Peloton? I'm not sure if that's the case, but I'd be wary if it is, as it means you're basically tied into Peloton forever, or you'd have a redundant screen.

We've got a Nordik Track tread, had it for a few years (bought secondhand), it's been a great piece of kit, so would have faith in the bike too (our bike is a Life Fitness one). You may want to work out how it does metrics if you do want to use the Peloton app - my RPM is the same as Peloton's cadence, nut my resistance goes 1-20, whereas Peloton's is 1-100. I assume every 1 of mine = 5 of Peloton's as a rough rule of thumb (so if the instructor calls for me to work at a resistance of 50, I put my resistance to 10).
