Fitness tracker where you can turn off bluetooth

Does anyone know any reasonably priced fitness watches or trackers where you can turn the Bluetooth off on the device itself? I want to be able to wear it with the Bluetooth off and then just sync it to phone at the end of the day. Don't want it searching to connect all day. I've seen a Garmin one but over £100 and looking for something cheaper...

I have an xiaomi miband.. 4? I think. I pretty much just use it as a watch but I do have it connected with Bluetooth to my phone most of the time so that it alerts me to phone calls and messages. But you can definitely not connect it via Bluetooth til the times u want to..

What is it about the Bluetooth being on thar you don't like?

Bluetooth uses basically no power, so if it's a battery reason don't worry about it. You'd get like ten minutes a day longer lifespan.

What sort of fitness tracker features do you want? Simple step counter? Heartrate? GPS tracks?

It will take longer to upload if you only connect once a day. That means literally waiting for it to upload at that moment.

You could turn off bluetooth on your phone/tablet, would be easier.

Thanks for the replies

@ItsLoisSangersFault It will sound a little mad but... I don't like the idea of wearing something that's emitting Bluetooth waves all the time. Even if I disconnect from phone it will still be sending them out if you see what I mean... !

@HerNameIsIncontinentiaButtocks I want something that does steps and heart rate, and ideally cycle and swim as well but not completely necessary

Anyone got any ideas? It's hard on websites to find out if you can actually disconnect the Bluetooth on the tracker itself! Only found the expensive Garmin saying it can....

Do you turn off bluetooth when you carry your phone with you outside house?

andtellyouofmydreaming · 18/02/2021 13:23

@lljkk yes I just turn it on when I need it, I don't have it on all the time.

So noone has a device or knows of one where you can switch it off on device itself? Is my only choice to save for the Garmin....?!
