Tennis Elbow

Has anyone got any magic cures for tennis elbow?

I have diagnosed myself after looking at google - is it worth seeing a physio for confirmation, can they do anything about it?

I don't really want to stop exercising, does anyone know if total rest is the only cure?!

Rehab exercises! There are good ones on here:www.csp.org.uk/public-patient/rehabilitation-exercises/tennis-elbow

A physio would be able to give you more targeted exercises and may possibly be able to help with manipulation/massage. I saw a physio for mine but only for 2 sessions.

The bands that you put on your forearm do help - the physio suggested I wear them during exercise. Otherwise she was happy for me to continue exercising so long as I did not try to push through any pain.

It takes an age to go away (at least 6 weeks).

I just recovered from a tennis elbow which lasted for 10/12 weeks!! The band's help, place hot/cold pack and exercises. Completely resting the arm is the quickest way to heal a tennis elbow.

Thank you both, will order myself a band and look up the exercises, I don't really want to rest it...!
