Has anyone got one of those trainers you attach to the back wheel so you can use bike indoors ?

If so which model and do you recommend it?

I've move to a hilly area I'm not fit enough to tackle on the bike but I want to be! I have garage and covered outdoor space to use it.

Thanks.

Yes. Mine is a few years old now and not one of the smart models that will automatically change resistance advising to the workout you're doing.

It's still good, bombproof and relatively quiet. But if I was buying one now I would go for a smart trainer. Have a look on DC Rainmaker to start you off with ideas about what to go for, he does some really good in depth reviews.

Good shout @TeaAndHobnob I've not heard of him so will have a look. Thank you!

We got a turbo trainer from Amazon back in March. It is fluid filled and increases resistance as you go. It's done really well so far - all 4 of us use it virtually daily as cycling is better for the DCs than them running.

Ours is a brand called "Health Line Product" and was £149.99. Says unavailable now on Amazon though.
DC Rainmaker is very good and unbiased.

www.rutlandcycling.com/accessories/turbo-trainers/cycleops-magnus-smart-turbo-trainer_383153 I bought this in the sales last year & would completely recommend it. 3 of us use it most days and share a family Rouvy subscription (about £10pm)
Been worth its weight in gold this past year.
