New year new me & all that jazz!

I'm overweight & need to start getting to it & start shedding these lbs!

I'm going to start eating healthy but want to go daily exercise. Just wondering if anyone wants to join me?

I'll be doing myself a weekly plan of squats, jumping jacks etc

Would anyone be interested?

Hi, I'll join you! Starting today as feel so bloated and sluggish too. Gradually put in more weight over lockdown and Christmas didn't help. I've weighed in and I'm 13st and 5'3 so would like to get down to 10stone ideally. I saw on another thread about the Body Project on YouTube and managed half an hour low impact one this morning. Also eating healthy about 1200 Cals and logging everything on My Fitness pal. Would be great to have people to chat to plus keep me accountable haha

@Cherry111 brilliant! I'm starting tomorrow as need to go food shopping lol - I'm going to join skimming world too next week....I'll do that on YouTube in the morning! I weighed myself this morning at 17st 12 😢 biggest I've ever been! I've put on about 6lbs over Xmas!! I'm so determined now!! I'll let you know how I get on with the workout tomorrow

Great! I was dreading it as I hate exercise with a passion but I've felt so much better and was proud I did it. So far I've had fruit, soup and made chicken and green beans in a sauce for lunch so well within calories. Plus loads of water. Some people have great success with slimming world too. Do you need to go to an online class now with Covid? You can do this!

JEE87 · 03/01/2021 16:34

Yes it's online now I started it last January & lost a stone in the 1st month but then covid happened do I stopped! X

How are you getting on @JEE87? Would you mind if I joined you all?

PRE-COVID I was doing fitness classes at the gym a couple of times a week but during lockdown I lost incentive and gained my Corona curves, plus a few more over Xmas.

I have an exercise bike on order and have signed up for a Les Mills trial.

I really need an accountability buddy to make sure I put on my trainers and do a workout. Ideally I'd like someone to be willing to agree a day/time for a zoom call but we do our own workout for an hour. Anyone up for that?

JEE87 · 07/01/2021 09:35

@JamMakingWannaBe of course!! I went on a hour power walk yesterday & I know it's done good as my legs are aching today! I've seen a lot about that Les Mills you'll have to let me know if it's any good then I might try it...I've been doing workouts from the Nike training app too

Sounds like you are doing great! I lost my baby bump - and then some - just going for a walk everyday. DD is coming up for 6 and I put it all on again once I went back to work. We managed a few walks over the Xmas break which was lovely but now I'm back in the office there are still loads of Xmas chocs and biscuits to eat! I'm hoping once the bike arrives and I set it up in my "home gym" area, I'll get into a routine again.

JEE87 · 07/01/2021 23:02

Yes my youngest DD is 15 months old I'm trying to still loose the baby fat 🤣 my problem is I love food!! But this time round I'm so determined I hate having photos taken etc

I did 30 minutes of Trip on the new bike. I think I need to adjust the resistance as it seems a bit light for me. Saying that I still expect aching legs tomorrow! Also tried to do an online yoga class but I was not in the zone. Day 1 done.
