Which Watch?

Hi, I'm looking to treat myself to a new sports watch (been using an app on my phone for yonks now!) .. it's all a bit of a minefield! I don't want anything too complicated to use or 'all singing all dancing!' I would like it for running, so time, distance and pace, swimming and step counting.. also to be nice looking so I can wear daily as an every day watch, I'm open to different makes/models but I think I get a good nhs discount with Garmin, any thoughts, recommendations or ones to avoid?? Much appreciated x

As you get a discount, it's a no-brainier to go for a Garmin, and I think they're the best anyhow.

All Garmins have the functionality you want, so just pick the one with the appearance you like the most

Does Garmin do swimming? I swim a lot and like my polar ignite for the pool. It's less reliable for distance in open water.

I have the white/rose gold Garmin Vivoactive 4S. I have had an array of Fitbits previously and the Huawei watch as well, but this is the best of the lot.

Ignore the Fenix line, it will be too fancy and expensive. The Forerunner series is more for running, so discount that too.

The Vivoactive is the all rounder, along with (I think) the Venu. I prefer the look of the 4S though, it's beautifully petite on my wrist and non offensive.

It tracks all kind of workouts (strength, HIIT, runs/walks) along with swimming. I have to admit I haven't used it for the pool so I can't attest to how accurate it is.

If you also know anyone who has Totum (NUS) you can get the 4S for around £179 after discount i believe.
