Anyone keen? Just signed up for my 30 day trial and did my first body attack work out in ahem several years. Going to be sore tomorrow! Really enjoyed it though. Hopefully can keep it up. anyone else thinking about it or started? Any recommendations/tips?

Do you have a link to this or is it an app? I LOVE Les Mills! How have I missed there being an online version?!

Finchbon · 22/12/2020 20:37

If anyone is on Vodafone I noticed this on the rewards app today.

watch.lesmillsondemand.com/browse/

It was advertised all over my social media after mentioning to my DH I needed some online classes as I have zero motivation to use my excercise bike and walking the dog just isn't cutting it!

Oh help my legs are feeling wobbly already. I'm so unfit at the moment

I do LMOD! I love Body Combat and Pump, and do cx works, Attack and Barre too. My husband just decided to join me.... He was struggling to sit and rise after some over enthusiastic squats!

Goingtogetfit · 23/12/2020 12:52

Glad to hear I'm not alone @earlydoors42
Although I'm surprisingly ok today after feeling wobbly last night. You definitely make the most of your subscription! How often do you manage to do the workouts?

OP posts:
earlydoors42 · 23/12/2020 20:58

I do one every day. I am working from home so can fit it in - in my "real" life I definitely couldn't do it that often!

PurpleDaisies · 23/12/2020 21:04

I did the trial during the recent lockdown and kept it. Well worth the tenner a month.

At the moment, I’m mainly doing barre because I’m liking that class so much and it’s a proper change from my zoom Zumba and hiit classes. I’m also doing body combat and body balance, with a bit of sh bam.

Goingtogetfit · 25/12/2020 16:41

I haven't managed another one Blush
Will try to fit one in tomorrow. Really need to prioritise some time to myself. Have been swamped with kids (3 small ones) and work so I'm often just flopping at the end of the day but I noticed you can choose the length so should be able to squeeze even a 30 mins a few times a week!

@PurpleDaisies @earlydoors42
Thanks for the recommendations.

I have been signed up for 3 months but havent used it yet. I am a bit put off with having to buy lots of gear, what did you all but for each of the different classes?

Nothing at all.

I had a yoga mat anyway and used that in barre and body balance.

I sometimes use some light hand weights for one track in barre but just as often I do it without.

I signed up last year as I was thinking of giving up the gym. I was a David Lloyd member so it was a lot. Didn't use it until lockdown when I started doing a body balance class every morning. I now get up at 7am so I can do a class before work and I even do one Saturday and Sunday morning. I love it and will be renewing.

No haven't bought anything either. I think body pump is the only one you need weights for and step you need a step but I'm wondering about trying it out as just aerobics at first.

Its good to know it doesn't get boring or repetitive. I was worried there wouldn't be enough work outs after a while but it seems there's loads.

Hello, love Les Mills and yes there is loads of variety!

There's actually another long-running LM thread with lots of recommendations. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/exercise/3929848-Can-we-make-a-Les-Mills-on-demand-thread

Thanks for this! I didn't have a quick look for another thread but should have had a proper search it would seem!

Did my second workout/class tonight! 55 min body combat. Joined the Facebook too. Lots of hardcore people doing challenges there Shock
Might be me at some point still tentatively exploring at the moment.

I've just signed up to the 30 day free trial!

Attempted a 30 min Body Attack class but struggled to follow what was going on, as it was dark and the camera kept zooming around and changing angles! There was a big audience too which the camera kept focussing on.

Does anyone have recommendations for specific classes that are a bit easier to follow, i.e. focussed on the instructors?

I enjoyed it though and just leapt about a bit when I got confused Grin

nbee84 · 02/01/2021 19:57

Scroll down on the app. There's a section called 'getting started' There's a whole section for Body Attack.

just signed up having not properly exercised for years. Did a 30 mins core one on Sunday and a body attack yesterday. feeling it today! body attack one i picked as a bit frantic but a 5 yr old wanting to join in and "help" did quite the opposite! kept me going though. ordered a step as I used to LOVE doing step in the 90s! will try a combat tonight I think. want to give things a good try before the 30 days runs out.
