*Hi..

So I'm looking for quick easy and manageable tips on how to loose belly fat and tone up my bum. I have had 2 kids 4 & 6 but ever since having them my body isn't the same. And lately Iv become take away obsessed and Iv noticed a massive weight gain it's bringing me down which is making me want to just eat more.

I need any advice on easy food to cook to help loose weight I currently weigh 13.5st and size 16 I would love to be a small in the waist think it's pear shaped. But struggling to even exercise as I find it too boring. *

Please any help advice needed xx*

Can I suggest you ask MNHQ to move this to the 'weight loss chat' topic?

As the old saying goes, 'you can't outrun a bad diet' and if your main aim is to lose weight, then that's where you need to start.

If you want to exercise more as well, which it seems you do, be aware that spot effects on certain parts of the body are hard or impossible to achieve. But exercise can and does improve all sorts of things in life - I'm wittering on about this because quick-fix shape-shifting isn't one of them and I don't think that hoping for the unrealistic will help your motivation.

Has there ever been a form of sport or other exercise you have enjoyed (or hated less than others)? What was it?

And how much time do you have available?

Just cook what you normally cook but eat much less of it.

Stop eating takeaways.

I lost a lot of weight (size 12/14 to size 8) - and have kept it off - after:

Stopping drinking alcohol
Eating a healthy, balanced diet (that means no takeaways, or very very rarely!)
Running a minimum of 25 miles a week, usually far more. Plus walking 10,000 steps a day, and cycling to and from work (when not wfh)

For most of my adult life I'd been overweight, ricocheting from one diet to another. But it was eating less and moving more- permanently- that made the difference. Who knew??!

I lost loads when I started cycling to work, it was great, it was my daily routine, I had to get to work so it was inbuilt. This year has been a mare and I need to get exercise into my life again. I'm going to do red January - exercise every day in January.
